What a fun filled, eventful and adventurous 9th month! I have been so excited for this month to come, because we got to celebrate your first Christmas! You were so much fun throughout this month and just continued to learn and grow. Now that you have the basic developments down, you are really starting to show your personality and are bonding with all your family.
You had your 9 month check up this month and you did fantastic at the appointment. All you wanted to do is crawl around and explore the doctor's office. You love to still crawl under everything you can, so you continually crawled under the examining table. Dr. T let us know that you will be a very adventurous and persistant boy. He is definitely right! You love to explore and be a part of anything that Daddy and Mommy are doing.
You are still our "little" guy:
- Weight - 20 lbs 5 oz 50th percentile
- Length -27.5 in 25th percentile
- Head - 46.2 cm 75th percentile
You started the month by teething your top teeth. I thought you were teething your top two, but it ended up being your top four! I had no idea that you were teething so badly, because you never were upset. You are such our amazing little man. However, one thing you continually did was bite and chew on anything and everything you could, including your daddy. You became a little vampire with him. Arm, hand, neck...no matter what it was, you bit it.
- You started waving this month! It has been so much fun to have you wave hello and goodbye to Daddy and me. You steal my heart everytime you do it.
- Daddy has taught you to make the Indian sound while we pat on your mouth. You have now started using your own fist to make the sound.
- You now crawl on all fours! No more army crawling for you little man. You now cruise faster than Mommy can get to you.
Daddy had a great idea this winter. We had a big snow storm, so Daddy built a sled ramp off the side of the deck. You had so much fun sledding for the first time in our backyard.

You are so handsome in your snow bibs!

You and the Doggies are best friends! You wanted to sit on Makita and loved every minute of it.

Look at that cute U of U bum!!!

What a breath-taking picture. You were so facinated by the tree and the pretty lights.

Your very first "Ward Christmas Party." Can you tell how much you are enjoying it???

Not only did you learn to crawl on all fours, but you decided one day to crawl up the stairs. This was a complete surprise to Mommy. I had no idea you knew how to go up the stairs.

You now want to climb over, under and through everything. You also want to try and stand up using any object you can. You are trying to stand up using the chair, but you couldn't quite get your hands in the right place.

Standing up using your toy box........

Using the couch.....

One fabulous part of your 9th month was your cousin Jake, Uncle Nick and Aunt Morgan coming to town. You and Jake had so much fun playing together and spending 3 weeks with each other. I wish you both lived closer to each other. You would be the best of cousins.

We hung out with Mommy's best friend, Emily Voshell and her family. We went to Temple Square for a carriage ride and then dinner. This is you on your first Trax ride.

In the carriage. You were fascinated with all the lights.

You and Gavin, Emily's little boy. He had so much fun with you!

Jake's 1st birthday party. This was the first time you and Jake had seen each other in 3 months. You were excited to play and laugh with him.

Christmas Eve morning was spent at Grandma Barton's house. It was so much fun to play and open gifts.

You partied so hard that you fell asleep with your Uncle Nick.

Opening presents at Grandpa Barton's and Patti's house on Christma Eve afternoon. You loved opening and playing with all your gifts.

Great Grandma Barton made both you and Jake bibs for Christmas. They are great because they are big enough to cover any place you can drop food on yourself.

Santa Clause came to visit at Grandpa Barton's house!

He also came to visit you at Grandpa and Grandma Grable's house on Christmas Eve night. You were an extra special boy this year and he made sure that he got to visit you twice.

Hanging out with Great Grandma Hansen.

Christmas Morning: Santa made sure to eat cookies and drink some milk.

You were so excited to push around your new Lion.

You and Daddy played all morning long with your new toys and wore yourselves out.

Grandpa Barton and Patti came over to visit you and see what cool toys Santa brought you for Christmas.

You were teething during the last part of your 9th month. Grandpa Barton had Otter-Pops to help with the pain. You loved them and down the entire Otter-Pop.

Uncle Nick and Jake made sure to come over and sled while they were in town. You had so much fun sledding with your cousin.
