Lucas Goss Grable

Welcome to the world my sweet baby boy! You are already such an amazing boy with so many talents and new discoveries each and every second. I am really surprised at how alert you have been within your first 24 hours of life. I can see you following the sounds with your eyes and intently focusing on what you hear. You have truly amazed me already and I am more than grateful that I was the person chosen to be your mother.

Lucas, always know how much your Daddy and I love you. We have loved you from the very first moment we learned that we were expecting your arrival. Throughout the pregnancy you really have shown your true personality and have made both your Daddy and me laugh. One of my favorite memories, while I was pregnant, was the way you and your Daddy would play. You loved it when Daddy would push on your hand, elbow, knee or foot and "chase" you around in my belly.

Within the first day, Daddy and I have determined that you are going to be our little soccer player. You were really good at kicking while in Mommy's tummy, were great at kicking while you were being delivered and have been really good at kicking with every diaper change. You are going to be our little all star.
Lucas, we are so happy to finally have you here. We look forward to all of our special memories that are yet to come.
Love......your Mommy and Daddy

Hey Everyone,

I had my maternity pictures taken this last Friday. Thankfully we got them done before the snowstorm hit on Saturday. Andree and Rachael did a fabulous job! Check them out at:

Arizona Trip

This past weekend Scott and I had the opportunity to go to Arizona to see little Jake be blessed by my brother, Nick. We took this opportunity to have a nice relaxing vacation while we were down there. We arrived on Thursday and drove back home the following Monday. It definitely wasn't enough time to hang out with Nick, Morgan and little Jake.

Morgan was a great hostess and had dinners and activities planned for us while we were down there. Nick, unfortunately, had to attend his law classes and study. However, he did a great job of having the nights free to be with all of us.

On Thursday, Scott attended one of Nick's classes with him. This gave Scott a good opportunity to get a taste of law school and know what to prepare for. Scott came back from that class more excited than before to attend law school. Scott and I also were given a tour of the law school at ASU and had the chance to talk with some of the students. We really enjoyed it.

On Saturday it was a boys only and girls only day. The boys got up and headed out to golf for the day. Scott sent me a text saying that he almost got a "birdie". I told him that I was proud of him....however, what I didn't know was that the "birdie" was actually a duck that he almost hit with his golf ball. The girls had a very girlie day. We played with Jake and then went to the mall and went clothes shopping. It was great to be able to spend sometime with my sister-in-law and my precious/perfect nephew.

Later that night we all went to walk around the Mesa Temple and to walk through the visitors center. It was absolutely breathtaking!

We are sad that we had to come home, but are excited to see the Bartons in a month!!!! Nick and Morgan, I expect Jake will be a cute leprechaun for St. Patty's Day. ha ha

Enjoy the below pics:

Daddy and son

Cute little Jake
Jake absolutely loved his Uncle Scott. Scott made funny faces that Jake would try to copy. Here is Scott sticking out his tongue.
Trying to figure out what Uncle Scott is doing now. After careful study, he has now figured out how to make the face. So cute!

The beautiful Mesa Temple

The blessing day. Trying to take family pictures, but we seem to be missing Kyle....

After realizing Kyle wasn't in the picture, we apparently all had the same reaction

The Barton Family

Jake has quite the personality already. He absolutely LOVES to dance. He usually performs, what we have named, the Irish Jig. However, in the following video, Jake decided to debut his "hoe-down" dance move. Enjoy!!!

My apologies, I do not know how to rotate a video.

Baby Lucas

Surprise, surprise......what we thought could be a girl is DEFINITELY a BOY! There is no mistaking my little boy for a girl. Scott and I had a fun time at the ultrasound and our technician was cracking jokes left and right. Lucas definitely made a us laugh and was as stubborn as he could be. Just as the technician was getting a shot of the "goods", Lucas decided that it was his turn to enjoy the nice package he has been blessed with. The technician was hitting his bum area for quite a bit of time, trying to get Lucas to let go, so we could get a shot. Lucas was as stubborn as he could be and kept on doing his thing until he was finished. Hmmm.....I think he already takes after his Daddy and Mommy, definitely stubborn.

Maybe he will take all my stubborness from me and after I give birth, I won't have any anymore. haha Oh, we could only hope.

Here are some great pictures (the first pictures) of my cute little baby boy. I am so excited to have him and can't wait for the adventure that is ahead of me. There will definitely be chaos in the Grable household.

Lucas' cute hand and profile

His cute little foot and face. The face pictures kind of freak me out though. haha

Look how cute his little feet are!

Hello world.....I am definitely a boy!

Will It Be a BOY or GIRL????

Scott and I get to find out what our little one will be this Friday!!!! I am at the point that I can barely stand waiting any longer. Friday is definitely not coming soon enough.

If you care to find out if the cute little growing baby in my belly is a boy or a girl, you can log on to our blog on Friday night. The baby countdown icon on the right side of the screen will be either Blue or Pink depending on what our result is.

I can't wait to find out! Hope you all enjoy your week.

Truly Amazing

I just have to tell everyone how amazing my husband is. I have been dealing with a trial in my life that carries a lot of hurt. Today the hurt from this trial flared up and left me feeling alone and empty inside. I talked with Scott about it in the afternoon (as much as I could without crying at work) and then went back on with my day.

My wonderful husband sent me an email a few hours later, saying that he wasn't going to go play in his softball game and that he had a good night planned for me. At the end of the day he called me to let me know what he had been working on. He told me that he couldn't help me with the particular problem, but could help me by being an instrument in the Lord's hands. He spent the afternoon emailing with my mom, getting some wonderful activities set up, to really show me how many people love and support me. How amazing is he?!?

I am so thankful for Scott and for all that he does for me. I am one lucky woman!
