After leaving Robyn's house, Scott and I decided that we would start our own Christmas Eve tradition. We each got to open one present......Of course Lulu and Makita pulled the candy cane bones out of their stocking.

Scott got the 2009 Office desk calendar
I got a bunch of hangers. I know you are thinking it is lame, but I really needed some nice wood hangers to match the others I have in the closet. Thanks Babe!!!!!
Christmas morning is finally here!!!!! The only thing I asked Scott for this year was to have the morning to ourselves. It was absolutely perfect (well minus the power going out for an hour or so)!!!! We woke up and he lit a fire in our fireplace, we made blueberry muffins and hot chocolate. Then we started opening presents! It was so relaxing and not rushed. I loved it. After the morning was over we left about 11:00 to start making the rounds. We stopped by my dad's and grandma's and then headed off to see Marley and Me with my mom. I loved the movie, but the ending was sad. You heard a lot of "sniffs" in the theatre. For the night we headed over to Scott's parent's house to open gifts and to talk to Trent. I am pretty sure Trent spent a good couple hours on the phone talking to all of us. He is doing great and we all miss him a lot. That was the last Christmas he will be gone for though......we can't wait for him to come home!
Lulu and Makita playing with the toys after opening their stocking
Emily got me this for Christmas. It is so pretty and works perfectly right above our table! She made it herself. She is so talented.
This picture must make the post. Charley and I have the same red shirt and we both wanted to wear it on Christmas....so we did. Aren't we just so lovely......

This is the cute little lion taking over for Scott. Maybe Scott will get replaced by Carter? He does look like he knows what he is doing.
This is me and my favorite little lion, Carter.
We finally got Gage to hold still...kind of. He didn't have his hat on in this picture though. Aren't they just adorable!!!!
This picture doesn't even need a caption. His face says it all.
After we hung out at Scott's work for a while, we all (Scott, me, Brandon, Charley and the boys) decided to go and get some lunch at the Olive Garden. What an adventure this was. Our waiter was quite interesting and did most of our ordering for us....basically told us what we were going to be eating for lunch and Gage decided it was a great time to start showing off by going through his vocab.
Here was the highlight of our lunch experience. The two videos are of Gage talking. At first he is saying the word "sit" followed by the all-time classic "poop", "bat" and topped on with a very loud "Got" which stands for Scott.
About a week ago, I had the opportunity to throw my future sister-in-law a bridal shower. It turned out to be a great shower and she got some great gifts.
Stacie with the best grandma-in-law she could ever hope for!!!!
Stacie with my cousin, Marie, me, my grandma and her friend Nicole. Okay, so my grandma is in pink and my cousin is in yellow.......where in the heck did I get all of my height from????
Today is the first day (October 4th) that it was chilly enough to use our fireplace! My husband is so great and got a fire going for me. I think I spent the majority of my day sitting in our living room in front of the fire. It was so perfect!!!!
