We are expecting.......

This may come as a surprise to everyone, it came as a surprise to us. In about 2 weeks, we will welcome a new member of our slowly growing Grable family. There seems to be a tradition of adoption in the Grable family and Scott and I felt that it would be appropriate to keep the tradition alive. The opportunity was right in front of our faces and we couldn't pass it up. We will be welcoming a 5 year old with the crispiest blue eyes you have ever seen. When you stare into his eyes, your heart immediately melts. When we get him, in about 2 weeks, we will post some pictures.

We are so excited!!!!

The Family Is Finally Complete

I am a little slow on getting this blog up and going. On November 1st the last Barton has finally entered into the blissful commitment called marriage. Kyle and Stacie were married in the Logan Temple Saturday morning and then had their reception in Ogden that evening. The Logan Temple is gorgeous and their sealing was amazing. I am so glad and grateful that I was able to experience and share in this time with them. Kyle and Stacie we love you and so glad you found each other!!!!

The happy couple!!!! Mr. and Mrs. Kyle and Stacie Barton

A couple of the sisters from both sides

The friends

Brother and sister!!!! Kyle how did you become the runt of our family? haha I am actually wearing heels.

While waiting for all the pictures to be taken, Morgan and I decided to have a skirt spinning competition. Enjoy

Fall has come and gone

Can you believe that fall has come and already gone? Spring and fall are my favorite seasons and I feel a little jipped this year. We have a lot of trees in our front yard and had a lot of beautiful colors to wake up to everyday. However, it definitely didn't last long enough. I had Scott take some pictures before all the leaves fell off and everything became covered with a blanket of white snow. Enjoy!!!!

Halloween

Scott and I had such a fantastic weekend. On Friday, we got such an awesome opportunity to hang out with our nephews while they went trick-or-treating at Scott's work. Little Carter was a lion, Gage was Indiana Jones and my handsome husband as Superman.

Here is a picture of the trio. This was the best one I could get. Gage was so anxious to run around and talk to everyone that I couldn't get a picture of him being still. Can you blame him though??? It is Halloween and people are handing candy out like crazy!

This is the cute little lion taking over for Scott. Maybe Scott will get replaced by Carter? He does look like he knows what he is doing.
This is me and my favorite little lion, Carter.
We finally got Gage to hold still...kind of. He didn't have his hat on in this picture though. Aren't they just adorable!!!!
This picture doesn't even need a caption. His face says it all.

After we hung out at Scott's work for a while, we all (Scott, me, Brandon, Charley and the boys) decided to go and get some lunch at the Olive Garden. What an adventure this was. Our waiter was quite interesting and did most of our ordering for us....basically told us what we were going to be eating for lunch and Gage decided it was a great time to start showing off by going through his vocab.

Here is Carter trying to make sure he gets those crayons in his mouth. Here was the highlight of our lunch experience. The two videos are of Gage talking. At first he is saying the word "sit" followed by the all-time classic "poop", "bat" and topped on with a very loud "Got" which stands for Scott.

Thanks Charley and Brandon for letting me hog your children for the afternoon. It is always a fun adventure when they are around.

For our nighttime activity, we headed up to Mike and Emily's for Gavin's 2nd birthday party. I have never seen a two-year old more excited about his "basketball hoop" than Gavin was. All we heard all night was "basethoop" and "basetball". This little kid had the coolest 2nd birthday party ever. Scott and I topped the night off with a self-inflating whoopie cushion and a remote control car.

All in all, we had a fabulous Halloween!!!!

Serving the Lord

As speculated, Scott and I met with a member of the bishopric on Sunday and received our callings. Any guesses.......... Well Scott and I were thinking maybe Young Men or Young Women and then started thinking we would get some sort of teaching callings. So, you are lookin at the new teachers for the junior primary. We will get to team teach (I am really excited about this), the 5-6 year old primary kids. We apparently will have 2 autistic children in the class and have been told that this is going to be a "challenging" calling.

Both Scott and I are really excited for our callings, because we know that it will definitly help us grow in the areas that we are weak. For example, I am sure to learn a lot of patience.

We can't wait to get started!!!!!

Here are the new teachers!!!! Scott says this calling will help me to not be "baby hungry" haha

A bit of a random post

Since I am so busy during the week with school and work, I haven't had time to dedicate to blogging. Tonight Scott went to the priesthood session of conference and then to hang out with his friends for a good ol' "boys" night. Therefore, that leaves me ample time to post a blog worthy blog.
I haven't had time to post the cutest picture of Lulu. She has learned that I quickly give in when she gives me the puppy eyes or walks over and lays her head on my lap. However, she hasn't figured out that this doesn't work very well with Scott. She wanted Scott to pay attention to her, but he was busy putting our spare room together.
About a week ago, I had the opportunity to throw my future sister-in-law a bridal shower. It turned out to be a great shower and she got some great gifts.
Stacie with the best mother-in-law she could ever hope for!!!! Stacie with the best grandma-in-law she could ever hope for!!!!Stacie with my cousin, Marie, me, my grandma and her friend Nicole. Okay, so my grandma is in pink and my cousin is in yellow.......where in the heck did I get all of my height from????Today is the first day (October 4th) that it was chilly enough to use our fireplace! My husband is so great and got a fire going for me. I think I spent the majority of my day sitting in our living room in front of the fire. It was so perfect!!!!

The beginning of the fire

The finished product and view from the couch. It was the perfect Saturday!!!!
