The Final Stretch

13 days left.....but who's counting?!?! I can't believe we are so close; it seriously felt like our wedding day wasn't ever going to get here.

I just got a call from my dressmaker telling me that I can pick up my wedding dress tomorrow! I about jumped out of my chair with excitement! I can't wait to see the finished product and just how beautiful it is.

We are down to tying up all the loose ends, which isn't too hard. I feel like now we are just waiting for the day to come and that is about left. Well except for the fact that I have to go and exchange the groomsmen clothing. That shouldn't be too bad though.

Last night Scott and I went furniture shopping. It wasn't too bad and we got done in a decent amount of time. Mainly because I went shopping with my cousin Tori a few days before that and picked out options. Then I took Scott yesterday and showed him the options and he said yes or no. So, it was pretty easy. Scott was more worried about the money than the look of the furniture. We got a killer of a deal and were able to get brand new couches, a pub table (which is goregous!) and a frontloader washer and dryer set. All brand spankin' new! If anyone is looking for some new, great, reasonably priced furniture....check out Furniture Warehouse (on road redwood). I am sure you just sung that last part in your head. haha

Stacy got a SCOOTER!!!!

My future sister-in-law, Stacy (she will be a sister-in-law in 21 days!!!), bought a scooter a couple weeks back. She was able to go and pick it up last night and I am so excited for her!!! It all started back about a month ago. Well actually I think she has been thinking about getting a scooter for a while; but I think when she drove my cousin's scooter at the engagement party it sealed the deal. She was able to go and pick up her scooter last night!!!! I haven't seen it yet, but I hear it is so awesome. I can't wait to come over and test it out!!!!!! Congrats Stacy!

The below picture isn't her scooter. I don't have a pic of it yet, so I pulled this off of the internet.

I am so excited that I got tagged! Thanks Kathie

Tag you're it! (this is my first tag!!)

The Rules:List 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 surprising facts and then tag 5 other people. Leave a comment of the people you tag so that they realize that they have been tagged.

Joys:

1. Working on our new house with Scott

2. Being able to learn something new every day.

3. Knowing that in 23 days I get to be married to the most wonderful man!

Fears:

1. Getting fat!!!!

2. Being kidnapped

3. Not living up to my full potential as a wife and a woman in the business field

Current Obsessions:

1. I guess you could say that at this moment in time, my obsession is the wedding. (Sorry Babe!)

2. Getting our house ready to move in. Scott has been doing an awesome job of getting the outside ready and weed free. I am still working on the inside though. We get our new carpet on Monday!!!!!!

3. I still and will always have an obsession for shopping. I need new clothes for our honeymoon.

Surprising facts:

1. I once kneeled on a toothpick (on accident) and didn’t realize that it stuck inside of my knee. I had a half a toothpick stuck straight in my knee for over a week until my dad dug it out.

2. I knew that I was going to marry Scott after our first date. He just took a little longer to realize that I was the girl for him. I am so glad that he did realize it though. I am one lucky girl!!!!

3. Even though I am an outgoing person, shy people make me feel really uncomfortable. If I can’t get someone to talk to me, I start to feel really uncomfortable and become shy. Weird….I know!

I completed my first tag! I tag: Morgan, Jamie, Charley, Newt and AnnMarie

One Eye

This morning I have been having a lot of trouble with the contact in my left eye. I took it out to clean it and noticed a HUGE tear in the center of the contact. How did this happen? So, I had no choice, but to toss the contact in the garbage. So, here I am....sitting at my desk....trying to keep my left eye closed, so I can see out of my right eye. I am going to have the worst headache by the end of today and it is only 9:40 a.m.!!!!!

No more teachers, no more books

School is officially OVER for both Scott and me!!!!!!!!!!!!! Scott finished up about a week ago and I finished last night. It feels so good to have at least a month and a half off before life gets super busy. This will free up a lot of time for the last month before we get married. Now that I don't have homework and studying at night, maybe I will be able to post a little more. I have a lot of pics of people helping us fix up our house that definitely should be talked about. So, prepare yourselves.... the posts are on their way!!!!!

The Adventures of Kyle Rabbit

My brother, Kyle, proposed to his girlfriend last night on their one year anniversary. Kyle has compeltely surprised me with how creative he was with the proposal.

His fiance, Stacie, really likes Peter Rabbit. Knowing this, Kyle used this in his proposal. For the past couple weeks he has been creating a book called The Adventures of Kyle Rabbit. In this book, Kyle talks about his past year with Stacie and what they have gone through. At the end of the book it reads: "So Kyle Rabbit decided that he would go into the enchanted forest behind Stacie Bunny's house and wait there for Stacie Bunny to come home from work. Kyle Rabbit had a very important question to ask Stacie Bunny........"
Stacie then walked to her backyard where Kyle was waiting to propose to her. If you know my brother Kyle, you know that this is way out of character for him. However, it has been really nice to see how he has changed over this past year. From day one he has always treated Stacie like his princess. I have really enjoyed seeing him grow in his relationship and also with the church. Below are some pics from Kyle's book. You will all be very impressed.

Congratulations Kyle and Stacie! We are really happy you both found each other and are ready to begin your lives together.

HOMEOWNERS

Scott and I finally own our home! It took a while and a little frustration, but we finally are on title and have the keys (a key) to our home. Scott will go tonight to pick up the rest of the keys and garage openers at 5:00. We took Lulu over to see her new house last night and she just loved it. Mostly because the last owners had 2 dogs and a cat, so she was having so much fun sniffing everywhere.

Time to get the projects started. First things first.....cleaning that oven! Just as I suspected, the sellers didn't clean the oven before they left. Thank goodness it is a self cleaning oven, so hopefully if we run that a couple times we won't have to do much. There are a lot of weeds, so I think Scott and I will be doing a lot of yard work at the beginning.

I am so excited to get started and I am even more excited to finally own a home with my future husband! What a big step in our lives babe. I love you!!!!
